Accountant II
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for an Accountant II to join our clients growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in financial reporting, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and working collaboratively with team members across the organization. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate preparation and analysis of internal and external financial statements • Utilize knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in financial reporting • Prepare and reconcile account balances to supporting documentation • Assist in the production of various analytical reports and communicate findings to leadership • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary support • Become familiar with the general ledger systems, policy administration systems and other applicable technology used by the team • Participate in the preparation of statutory and GAAP financial plans • Contribute to special assignments and projects to meet departmental goals • Uphold procedural documentation for all assigned tasks and adhere to internal control processes • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across the organization • Demonstrate core values of Accountability, Openness, Respect, and Integrity in all tasks • Apply your skills in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Finance Consulting industry. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations. • Capability to maintain and manage the General Ledger. • Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries. • Experience in Month End Close procedures. • Proficient in using NetSuite for financial operations. • Familiarity with Oracle financial software. • Experience in utilizing QuickBooks for accounting tasks. • Knowledge of SAP financial software.
