The main function of an Accountant III is to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial activities within an organization. This role is part of the Corporate Accounting Operations Prepaid Pillar, providing support during the GPO lead's maternity leave. Key responsibilities include ownership of monthly close activities, overseeing BPO's daily and monthly journal entries and reconciliations, preparing journal entries and flux analysis, and addressing ad-hoc requests from cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
+ Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
+ Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
+ Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
+ Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and direct their work activities.
+ Execute financial close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks, and providing support to stakeholders.
+ Oversee the work of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners, ensuring daily and monthly journal entries and reconciliations are performed accurately and efficiently.
+ Lead efforts to automate processes using internal tools, standardizing and globalizing processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
+ Provide support to cross-functional teams on an as-needed basis, addressing adhoc requests and ensuring seamless collaboration.
+ Manage audit requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of financial integrity.

+ Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
+ Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations as related to accounting.
+ Previous experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.
+ Technical expertise in General Accounting and specifically Prepaid, Other Current Asset & Tax Accounting.
+ Strong internal controls and risk management skills.
+ Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required.
+ 5+ years of accounting experience with a large public company.
+ Experience with month-end close processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in Oracle Fusion.
+ Strong leadership skills.
+ A keen eye for process improvement.
+ Experience supervising BPO users.
+ An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
Work Environment
100% remote role, must work in the Central Time Zone. This position offers leadership opportunities and the chance to lead and mentor a team of outsourced business partners in Warsaw and Costa Rica. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
