The position manages and oversees all accounting, budgeting, grant accounting, purchasing, and administrative support processes related to CVED’s $37 million budget. CVED’s accounting includes diverse funding sources which include federal, state restricted, local, and general fund revenues. Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the state of Michigan governmental accounting, budgeting, grant accounting, business administrative, and SIGMA Financial, HRM, and Business Intelligence programs is integral to the position. The Michigan State Police (MSP) is a full-service policing agency with statewide jurisdiction, providing over 60 different services either directly to Michigan residents or in support of other law enforcement agencies. Alternate Education and Experience Possession of a Certified Public Accountant Certification may be substituted for one year of Accountant P11 experience. OR Possession of a Certified Management Accountant certification (CMA) may be substituted for six months of Accountant P11 experience.
