The ideal candidate is degreed with solid accounting experience, has a strong working knowledge of the energy industry and is able to work with the accounting team and all levels of staff and management to handle or assist with various accounting & finance functions in the liquids terminal business. Candidates with strong analytical skills and a preference for a challenging and fast-paced work environment will be successful in this position.
Perform and assist with monthly close procedures for the SE region including monthly customer invoicing for assigned business and preparation of various journal entriesPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX requirementsUnderstand revenue and expense accounting recognition principlesUnderstand and apply Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controlsReview and analyze contracts that relate to the recording of revenue for the region.
