Accountant Sr
Under the general direction of the Controller, the Senior Accountant will perform accounting functions requiring a thorough knowledge of general accounting methods, principles, and practices, including but not limited to payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, and general ledger. In addition, this position advises and directs teams and answers complex questions, functioning as an expert resource for the department and helping provide leadership in the management of departmental operations and major projects. Assists in all aspects of accounting, including but not limited to payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger.     Annual Salary Range: $60,736.00 - $89,585.60   Qualifications Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work. Prefer an MBA or master’s degree. Experience: Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible general ledger accounting-related experience or three (3) years of experience and a master’s degree that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Prefer experience in a healthcare or hospital setting. Certification/Licensure: Prefer Certification as a Certified Public Accountant. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires thorough knowledge of general accounting, both in accrual and cash basis. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must possess good customer service and communications skills, the ability to work with professionals, and maintain confidentiality standards.  Requires strong analytical and organizational skills, effective problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Must have proven teamwork skills and be able to recognize when you can help the team complete all daily and monthly tasks. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
