The temporary accountant role with a 4 - 6 month contract will support the Bakery’s month end close and daily operations by performing journal entries, account reconciliations, and leveraging financial systems. In this role, the Accountant will collaborate with other finance and accounting associates in addition to cross functional teams to provide information that will support the best business solution. Here’s more of what you’ll get to do: Leverage the ERP tools for sales and operations reporting to support business decisions. Perform journal entries and account reconciliations. Brokers’ commission calculation and payment. Vendor and Customer Set up and changes Process and Pay Royalty. Maintain up-to-date price lists in ERP. Assist with the period-end close process and reporting. Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and summaries. Assist with annual planning process and quarterly forecasts including variance and trend analysis. Assist permanent staff during busy periods. Ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and other department support as needed. What we require: Minimum of two years related experience in finance, accounting, or similar role. Knowledge of finance and accounting principles with the ability to read and interpret financial data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office specifically Excel for spreadsheet modeling, data analysis, and reporting. Strong functional knowledge of an enterprise resource planning system (Oracle, Infor, Ross, etc.). Ability to work independently and as a team member. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related area. Manufacturing industry experience, a plus.
