Made Possible.** **Position Mission / Summary** As an Accounting Analyst reporting to the Controller, you will provide financial input to our business decision making with the aim to maximize long-term value, cash flows and shareholder return in our Elk Grove, ILpackaging facility. The ideal candidate will havea minimum of 3 years’ experiencein an Accounting / Finance role and will assist in providing accurate and timely financial reporting to ensure we meet our business objectives. In addition, this position will offer the opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze data as well as support continuous improvement activities to achieve world class financial reporting standards. **Position Scope** Analytical support for all Accounting and Finance activities and processes of the local Site Leadership Team. Key processes include assisting in month end close, balance sheet reconciliations including but not limited to general ledger accounting, intercompany, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory. Responsibilities also include preparation of routine (daily, weekly, monthly) performance metrics as requested. Provide support for compliance initiatives including but not limited to physical inventory counts, etc. **Position Responsibilities** _include but are not limited to the following._ + Assist in validating and analyzing month end results: P&L and Balance Sheet including variance analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations. + Support the Controller with month end results package for the Plant to present to Senior Management + Lead month-end close including Balance Sheet reconciliation: Journal/Accrual entry, account reclasses, inventory validation, statistical metrics, period cutoff control, intercompany. + Conduct weekly reviews of production order variances to identify unusual variances and report root cause. + Monitor and work with plant management on Continuous Improvement initiatives and validate savings. + Ad hoc financial analysis of financial and operating metrics to support business requirement. + Assist with Forecasting and Budgeting as needed. + Plant SOX compliance with supporting audits of critical plant processes: Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Valuation, Shipping/Receiving, Revenue Recognition + All other duties as assigned. **Required Skills:** + Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office Suite tools + Strong analytical skills are preferred. **Required Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field required. + Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an accounting/ finance role + ERP systems experience preferred; for example: SAP, Oracle, etc. + Domestic travel 5% **Pay Range:** **$60,500.00** - **$80,630.00** **Graphic Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
