Title: Accounting Analyst
Reports To: Accounting Manager

As an Accounting Analyst, your essential job functions will include the following:
Assist Accounting Manager in management of Accounting Operations projects and participate on cross functional teams in support of Sales, Logistics, Program Management and other functional areas as assignedWork collaboratively to define and create process flows, project requirements and testing needs to surpass customer expectations and company goalsResearch, analyze and recommend resolutions to variances between the Sub Ledger and General LedgerIdentify accounts receivable and sales issuesUtilize OBIEE reporting tool and JDE to analyze large volumes of data to identify trends and source of issuePropose solutions or take necessary actions to correctProvide support as needed to Accounting teams with efficiency initiatives and troubleshootingAssist in JDE/OBIEE testing of new initiatives/efficienciesComplete internal and external audit requests as assignedProvide backup functionality for Accounting ManagerCommunicate in a professional manner with customers and employeesSupport the monthly financial close process by:Assure timely/accurate financial statement preparation consistent with U.S. GAAP and company policies & proceduresCreate/Monitor/Post accruals and journal entries, reconcile accounts and perform ad hoc analysisParticipate in/Lead physical inventory auditsReporting
Complete monthly assigned account reconciliations within specified closing schedulePrepare and assess monthly aging and reportsPrepare and analyze pertinent schedules required for auditsInitiate and Implement Process Improvements
Document new accounting practices/procedures through use of flow charts and narrative process documentationReview accounting practices/procedures and make recommendations for improvements within the departmentEvaluate current system applications and recommend efficiency improvementsReview and test internal controls to ensure SOX complianceOther Duties as Assigned
Position Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related fieldTwo to three (2-3) years of experience in AccountingExperience in a high-volume transactional processing environmentIntermediate Excel skillsExperience using OBIEE tool or other similar business intelligence toolProven organizational and multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to achieve goals independentlyExcellent written and oral communication skillsCompetencies Required

Base Pay Range:
