Pay: $91,000-$114,000 per year plus annual bonus opportunity

Position Summary:

As an esteemed member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Service Experts, headquartered in Richardson, TX, under the umbrella of Brookfield, a Canadian multinational corporation. Service Experts operates extensively in the United States and Canada, generating revenues exceeding $500 million and employing approximately 4,700 individuals.

​In this capacity, you will be an integral part of the Corporate Accounting Team.​ Your primary responsibilities will encompass supporting the monthly closing processes, which include posting journal entries, preparing and substantiating accruals, reconciling payroll, and conducting various balance sheet reconciliations. You will also be tasked with cost center allocations and providing assistance to the Sr. Manager of Accounting.

Additionally, you will be expected to perform variance analyses against budget and prior year figures, collaborating closely with both internal and external auditors. This role necessitates the ability to analyze data to derive well-supported conclusions while ensuring strict compliance with accounting policies and accurate account classifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for accruals processes with varying degree of difficulty for month end close of the financials, journal entries and account reconciliationsResponsible for payroll reconciliation & bank reconciliationResponsible for related party/intercompany process/reconciliationProvides support for cash managementResponsible for Foreign Revaluation (FX) calculationsProvide accurate and timely financial information to company managementRecord, classify, and summarize financial transactions based on accounting policiesReconcile and analyze general ledger accounts and resolve outstanding itemsQuery data extractions from financial system and perform analysisAssist with internal and external audits and data requests for US and Canadian tax returns

Qualifications:

Must understand full-cycle accountingExpertise in Intercompany Accounting highly desiredProficient in Hyperion/SAP/SageStrong Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUP’s & If Statements)Strong analytical skillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA desiredMin four years related work experienceSystem implementation experience a plusExperience working for Corporate organizations with international locations preferred, esp. CanadaAttention to detail and ability to multi-task is criticalEffective verbal and written communication skills. Must retain flexibility to be willing to take on new roles and responsibilities
