Accounting Analyst

Job Description:

At Regions, the Accounting Analyst, prepares accurate and timely financial reporting that may include, but not limited to, special requests, producing monthly and quarterly reporting, and adding value through continued process improvement. Analyst will have specialized knowledge of own discipline or function and may interpret internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

Assists in preparation detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management                                                                                                       Contributes to process improvements and makes recommendations on occasion                         Researches and responds to technical accounting inquiries from our business partners    Analyzes and resolves problems using prescribed guidelines or policies                                    Completes ad-hoc reporting or other special projects as they arise    May act as a resource for associates with less experienceCreates and maintains databases, documentation, and data in a meaningful formatWorks independently and receives minimal guidance                                                                                   

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related fieldThree (3) years in public accounting or industry with reporting, policy, or financial analysis experience

Certifications/Licensures

Certified Public Accountant Licensure (CPA) 

Preferences

Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Master's degree in FinanceExperience within a financial services industry

Skills and Competencies

Ability to research, analyze data, and drive appropriate solutionsAbility to work under moderate guidanceProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skillsStrong work ethic and self-motivationStrong attention to detail

This position will assist with the forecasting and budgeting process for occupancy and Corporate Real Estate department.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$64,945.10 USD

Median:

$90,000.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:
