*This role is eligible for a remote work schedule of up to two days remote work per week. New employees are eligible to apply after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment and training.

Primary Function

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for preparing various financial reports, maintaining the integrity of financial documents, and assisting in risk management activities. The associate will work with the Corporate Accounting Manager and Director of Corporate Accounting to analyze statements and reports and make appropriate recommendations to management about financial and risk matters.

Responsibilities

Accounting Responsibilities 

Gather data and assist in the preparation of various reports. Analyze and reconcile any discrepancies within the general accounting functions.  Will report on utility use, expenditures, etc. and provide analysis for review. Settle and close production orders, investigate production variances. Provide research assistance as required and respond to inquiries and requests from internal sources. Assist as backup for cost accounting and provide support to Fixed Assets. Prepare and deposit miscellaneous receipts of cash and checks. Assist with month end closing procedures Prepare specific monthly journal entries and scrap recovery analysis. Prepare monthly reconciliations for key accounts. Assist in the coordination and implementation for physical inventories, if needed. Observe all procedures and policies in accordance with GAAP, company policy, and federal/state regulations.  Perform other activities as needed or as requested. Qualifications Work experience with accounting preferred Strong attention to detail and high organization skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience with SAP is preferred  Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and documents Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Related FieldWe Offer
