We have an exciting new opportunity for an Accounting and Control Lead with our Manufacturing Accounting Group. The position is a hybrid opportunity based out of our East Hartford location.

What You Will Do:

This position supports the Manufacturing Operations Accounting function within the P&W Group Controller’s Organization. 

Manufacturing Accounting is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate accumulation, distribution and output of manufacturing cost for Commercial and Military engines and spare parts. 

This position will provide the opportunity to gain understanding of the complexities of large volume OEM operations cost accounting and compliance in a support of a growing business. 

This senior manager position will be responsible for financial reporting, technical accounting and internal controls and compliance for the global module center and operations organization, supporting centralized large engine business accounting (“US01”), module center operations, global supply chain, and domestic and international subsidiary operations.  

Specific responsibilities include:

- Oversee financial reporting process: ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly closings and RTX quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables.

- Perform technical accounting analysis of transactions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and RTX financial policy.

- Coordinate SOX control assessments, ensure SOX testing and reporting requirements are completed in accordance with RTX deadlines.

- Develop and deliver SOX compliance and “best practices” training to relevant personnel across the organization.

- Support periodic audits performed by external auditors, RTX internal audit, P&W business controls and U.S. government audits; ensure timely closure of identified issues.

- Support and collaborate with the MC&O subsidiaries teams  by fielding policy, accounting and control questions.

- Utilize the CORE tools to improve business processes; support policy deployment initiatives.

- May require minimal travel to internal Pratt & Whitney subsidiaries.

Qualifications You Must Have:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance and 10+ years prior relevant work experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 7+ years prior relevant work experience.

- Experience in assessing, documenting and implementing internal controls.

- Knowledge of the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, Section 404, PCAOB standards.

- General knowledge of Financial Reporting and US GAAP.

- US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
