Location: Utica, NY Category: Academic Posted On: Mon Nov 18 2024 Job Description: The COB at SUNY Poly is an AACSB accredited business school and is seeking to fill a Lecturer position in Accounting and Finance. The new Lecturer is expected to: Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses as directed by the department chairs and the dean. The COB offers five-degree programs: MS in Accounting, MBA in Technology Management, BS in Accounting, BS in Business Administration, and BS in Finance. The responsibilities include: + Under the guidance of the Department Chairs and the Dean, conduct all aspects of academic advising for students enrolled in COB's Accounting and Finance programs, and respond to inquiries from prospective students. This task includes in-person and online meetings with students. + Participate in campus events for prospective and accepted students, including open houses, student days, and orientations + Serve as a liaison with SUNY Poly's Admissions Office, Registrar's Office, Career Services, and other university level offices to ensure timely resolution of student-related issues and distribution of important announcements. + Maintain active roles in student mentoring, assessment and assurance of learning, curriculum design and revision, and committee services at all levels. + Collaborate with other faculty on research projects and maintain an AACSB faculty qualification status. + Other reasonable duties as assigned Salary $65,000 - $75,000 Benefits: https://www.suny.edu/media/suny/content-assets/documents/benefits/benefit-summaries/FTUUPbenefitsummary-June-2024.pdf Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: + Master's degree from college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization + Candidates must meet the requirements for AACSB faculty qualification status. + A commitment to mentoring and educating students from diverse backgrounds.
