Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant based in Norwood, Massachusetts. This role is within the manufacturing industry where the successful candidate will be involved in various accounting tasks, supporting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments. Responsibilities: • Support the Accounts Payable Manager with various tasks. • Handle data entry of invoices efficiently and accurately. • Assist the Accounts Receivable department with the processing of incoming cash receipts. • Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records. • Manage and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action as needed. • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline accounting functions. • Gain hands-on experience working with Sage 100, though it's not a requirement. • Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the accounting team. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required • Ability to handle various Accounting Functions in a professional manner • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Knowledge of Sage 100 accounting software is a plus • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
