Description We are inviting applications for the role of Accounting Assistant, based in Charlottesville, Virginia. This role is within the accounting industry and involves a substantial amount of data entry and coding of invoices, along with other responsibilities. Key responsibilities: • Execute data entry tasks with high precision, focusing particularly on invoice coding • Manage and organize a backlog of tasks, ensuring all outstanding invoices are promptly addressed • Utilize SAGE Intact and Microsoft Excel for various tasks, including ERP functions • Attend to additional duties as required, which may encompass COIs, expense reports, and account reconciliations • Collaborate effectively with the Accounts Payable Manager and other team members • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism at all times • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards • Work independently, demonstrating initiative in identifying and resolving issues • Continuously improve skills and knowledge in areas such as Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) • Familiarity with Check Runs • Ability to perform Coding Invoices • Proficient in Data Entry • Experience with Invoice Processing • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Knowledge of SAGE is a plus!
