Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in the transport industry, located in Thousand Palms, California. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes, including customer applications and records. You will also play a crucial role in resolving customer inquiries and monitoring their accounts. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and timely financial statements through managing the month-end closing process. • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and compliance with accounting standards by preparing and reviewing journal entries. • Work closely with leadership to provide key insights for financial decision-making through the development, analysis, and management of budgets. • Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to enhance accounting functions. • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure accurate accounting records. • Perform auditing and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
