Description We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team in the government sector based in Thousand Oaks, California. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity where you will be tasked with various accounting functions, including data entry, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and handle data entry tasks • Play a supportive role in the accounting department • Effectively manage accounts payable • Conduct bank reconciliations with precision • Assist with other accounting related tasks as needed • Ensure all customer credit records are updated and accurate • Take appropriate action to monitor customer accounts • Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions, with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records and reports. • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP), including processing invoices and managing vendor payments. • Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and transparency. • Proficient in Data Entry, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
