Job Title: Trade Promotions Assistant
Aston Carter has partnered with a company seeking an Accounting Assistant. Our client offers a pay rate of $19 per hour and allows remote work two days a week after training.
Job Description
Research to resolve short and long-term promotional deals per the division aging report. This includes billing, gains transfers, prior gain analysis, and more. Perform aging analysis at the start of each new period to identify deals that have a large dollar loss and ensure funds are recovered in a timely manner. Prepare weekly and period balancing schedules to ensure financial data reported on the Trade Funds report are as accurate and current as possible. Research vendor repay requests on deals previously reconciled to assist in resolving disputes. Assist in the period end close process to ensure reconciled deals fall off the aging report. Provide support and feedback to department management regarding deal reconciliation issues. Work on specific deals identified by management needing attention. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills
+ Experience with promotions, accruals, and reconciliations.
+ Proficiency in PeopleSoft.
+ Strong balance sheet management skills.
+ Advanced Excel skills.
+ Detail-oriented and skilled in reconciliation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 6+ months of Accounting or Finance experience.
+ Associates or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
+ Experience with SCM, DemandTec preferred.
Work Environment
Corporate environment with a very busy atmosphere in the Promotions group. The role reports to the Accounting Supervisor. The position requires a dedicated workspace at home for remote work. The schedule includes a hybrid setup (Monday & Friday work from home, Tuesday-Thursday in the office) once permanent. Fully onsite while on contract. This is a great resume booster for new graduates.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
