Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Elgin, IL. In this role, you will be expected to assist with various accounting functions, maintain accurate records in the ERP system, and reconcile purchase orders and invoices, among other responsibilities. Responsibilities: • Efficiently assist in the receipt of products within the ERP System • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy • Support in reconciling purchase orders with invoices and confirm product receipt in the ERP system • Undertake other clerical tasks as necessary • Utilize Microsoft Office and Google tools in day-to-day operations • Perform Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks as needed • Assist in conducting bank reconciliations. Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems • Strong understanding and experience of Accounting Functions • Great Plains experience preferred but can be trained • Knowledge of Auditing procedures and best practices • Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Willingness to continuously update skills and knowledge in the field of Accounting Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
