Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Thousand Oaks, California. This role is within the Government industry and will provide crucial support in our accounting department, focusing on data entry, bank reconciliations, and other accounting tasks. Responsibilities: • Assist in maintaining accounts payable • Undertake data entry tasks to ensure accurate record keeping • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy • Provide overall support for various accounting functions • Train in accounts payable to enhance department efficiency • Execute other accounting support tasks as needed Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process • Knowledge and experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), including processing payments, maintaining cost reports, and reconciling invoices • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in all transactions and addressing any discrepancies promptly • Strong Data Entry skills, with the ability to maintain large volumes of numerical data with speed and precision.
