Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a prestigious professional services firm in need of a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support their financial operations and ensure smooth project accounting processes. This role will focus on financial coordination tasks, including billing, contract management, invoice processing, and financial reporting. This role is fully in person, 5 days a week in our client's Owings Mills, MD office.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and verify project contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.Manage subconsultant agreements and process invoices efficiently.Monitor outstanding invoices, follow up on collections, and track payments.Upload and submit project invoices to the client's vendor portal before the monthly deadline.Generate and distribute financial reports on a scheduled and as-needed basis (monthly, quarterly, etc.).Provide day-to-day financial support for assigned projects, ensuring proper tracking and documentation.Coordinate meetings, manage confidential information, maintain project documentation, track departmental leads, handle mailings, and support general administrative tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

3+ years of accounting experience in a relevant role (must have AR/billing experience)Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)Excellent attention to detailFamiliarity with business contracts, invoicing, and financial documentation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience working with financial database systems.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Exceptional ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.Self-motivated and capable of turning feedback into actionable steps.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across different departments and levels of the organization.Analytical skills to assess financial data, recognize trends, and flag potential issues.
