We have an exciting position open within Caterpillar as an Accounting Associate for the Americas Distribution & Service Division. Caterpillar provides exciting opportunities for accountants who want to be challenged and are interested in being part of the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. In this role, you will have the opportunity within the Global Service team of Americas Distribution & Service Division to provide financial analysis and financial support to leadership while also collaborating with business partners in execution of the divisional strategy.
What You Will Do:
Preparing/posting entries, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting systemsPresentation and explanation of monthly results to key leadership stakeholdersUse of business systems/tools including, but not limited to Axiom, Power BI, etc.Upon request, take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requestsCreate and utilize automated tools to drive efficiency to support scale of the business functions and accurate financial resultsWhat You Have:
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in – Accounting or Finance.Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.Top Candidates Will Have:
Experience in closing, budgeting and forecasting.Strong Excel experience.Additional Details:
Location: preferred location is Peoria, IL or Irving, TXThis role is a full time, hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in officeDomestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualifySummary Pay Range:
$79,800.00 - $119,760.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
