Accounting Associate
Job Title: Accounting AssociateJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accounting Associate to join our team. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in accounting, with the potential for career advancement. You will be responsible for assisting with various accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities + Assist requestors and vendors with the new vendor registration process and vendor changes. + Obtain bank letters and ACH/Wire forms from new vendors and verify their authenticity. + Follow up with international vendors regarding expired W8 forms. + Check deposits and prepare applicable journal entries. + Review all transactions on the corporate card program for all cardholders. + Reconcile each cardholder account on a monthly basis. + Correspond with departmental administrators on any missing invoices monthly. + Enforce cardholder agreement for the corporate card program for each cardholder. + Report to management on the status of cardholder accounts. + Report monthly on delinquent accounts and issue warning letters for delinquent accounts. + Facilitate requests for credit limit increases to management for approval. + Ensure all corporate card accounting practices and procedures are in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. + Manage delinquent accounts and perform reconciliations. + Perform additional projects as assigned. Essential Skills + BS in Accounting or related field of study, or currently obtaining a degree. + 0-3 years of accounting experience, including internships. + Proficient skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. + Proficient oral and written communication skills. + Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior. + Experience working in a culturally diverse team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficient self-management skills. + Experience in accounts payable and reconciliation. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The dress code is business casual. This is an open-ended contract position with the potential for direct hire based on performance. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
