Accounting Associate Purpose: The Accounting Associate is expected to meaningfully contribute to and perpetuate our purpose and values. Thrive’s accounting department provides services to corporate and property operations, ownership entities, and redevelopment. Job Responsibilities: + Maintain a portfolio of 3-5 mainly cash-basis communities + Conduct full cycle financial review and preparation for portfolio, including but not limited to + Month End Revenue review + Bank Reconciliations + Balance Sheet Reconciliations and recurring Journal Entry Maintenance + Preliminary Income Statement Review + Financial Statement compilation + Assist Portfolio Accountants with duties, including but not limited to + Bank Reconciliations + Month End Revenue review + Balance Sheet Reconciliations and recurring Journal Entry Maintenance + Weekly Deposit Accounting reviews + Weekly available cash analysis, including returned tenant payments, mortgage payments, outstanding checks, etc. + Monthly Financial Statement compilation + Quarterly & annual lender requests/audits + Assist Account Payable Specialist with duties, including but not limited to + Replacement Reserve and other lender requests + Invoice review + Provide support to site managers and regional managers as needed Qualifications: + Customer service mindset + 1+ year experience in an Accounts Payable Role required + Prior Experience with General Ledger Review preferred + Associates Degree in Accounting/Finance/related field or higher preferred + Experience with financial statement preparation preferred + Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred + Experience with Microsoft suite products * Please submit your resume and cover letter. * If you do not fully meet the qualifications listed above but feel you have the skills and experience to be able to be successful in this position we welcome your application!
