Our client, a large logistics company in Elizabeth, NJ, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. This part-time position (30-35 hours/week) involves monitoring and following up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments from clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and prepare invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing data.Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up to ensure timely payment from clients.Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and payment processes.Resolve billing discrepancies or disputes through effective communication with clients and stakeholders.Maintain accurate and complete billing records and reports.Assist with various accounting and finance functions as needed.Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting and analysis.Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal policies.Provide excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing, accounting, or a related field.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with billing software and systems, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Port Pro.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong customer service skills.Experience in the logistics industry is a plus.Pay and Shift:
Schedule: Monday to FridayShift Options: 9 AM - 3 PM or 8 AM - 2 PMPay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
