Description Robert Half is looking to add an Accounting Clerk to their growing team, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / temporary position located in the Bridgewater, New Jersey area. Thrive in an energetic, team-oriented environment in this position, which offers room for growth. What you get to do every single day - Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - Categorize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes - Post financial figures to journals and ledgers - Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing - Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt - Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources Requirements - Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system - Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds - 2+ years of relevant experience - Proficiency in Clerk Job - Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred - Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Residential real estate experience preferred - Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) - Well-founded grasp of Invoice - General familiarity with account reconciliation - Outstanding data entry skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
