Job Responsibilities: + Maintain and update accounting records and files. + Analyze budgets and create expense reports. + Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns. + Perform periodic audits. + Check accounting systems to determine efficiency and suggest improvements. + Ensure reports are accurate and in compliance with federal and state laws. + Process bills for payment and issue checks for accounts payable. + Manage the daily financial transactions, including proceedings, payments received, invoices, etc. Requirements + Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations. + Proven experience as an accounting clerk or a similar role in the accounting field. + Familiarity with accounting software. + Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers. + Strong mathematical and analytical skills. + High level of accuracy and efficiency. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
