Accounting Clerk
Description A client of ours in the manufacturing industry is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk. Responsibilities: + Execute day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, and recording accounts receivable data. + Maintain an updated billing system, generate and send out invoices as well as process checks. + Regularly review accounts receivable ledger to ensure payments are up to date. + Perform account reconciliations in a timely manner, researching and resolving any discrepancies. + Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for transactions, accounts payable and receivable, and profit and loss. + Organize documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and make them available when needed. + Assist in monthly and yearly audits and generate financial statements. + Support the accounting department by performing clerical tasks, such as processing and recording transactions, preparing reports, and checking invoices for accuracy. + Communicate with vendors and clients to ensure a smooth flow of all accounting operations. Requirements Required Skills: + Basic understanding of principles and practices in accounting. + Familiarity with databases and accounting software. Experience with a specific system used in the manufacturing industry will be an advantage. + Excellent data entry skills and a high degree of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information. + The capability to work meticulously, managing a large volume of transactions. + Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools, particularly MS Excel. + Good interpersonal skills for communicating and building relationships with colleagues and clients. + Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information. Educational Qualifications: + Associate's degree in Accounting or related field. + Previous experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry would be a plus.
