Accounting Clerk

\n\t\t\t\t\t

The Accounting Clerk is a key support role within the organization’s finance department, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and organization of financial data. This position provides administrative and bookkeeping assistance to the leadership team, contributing to the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Accounting Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining accurate accounting records and\nensuring the smooth operation of the department.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAccounts Payable (AP):\n- Post vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.\n- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.\n- Attach supporting documentation (e.g., invoices, check images) to AP records.\n\nAccounts Receivable (AR):\n- Post customer payments, including ACH deposits and checks.\n- Assist with collections of outstanding receivables.\n- Update internal systems, such as Claim Leader, when appraisal payments are received.\n\nCredit Card Transactions:\n- Import and reconcile credit card transactions.\n- Ensure timely and accurate entry of expenses.\n\nRecordkeeping and Filing:\n- Organize and file receipts, invoices, and other financial documents.\n- Maintain digital records by attaching images to transactions in the accounting system.\n\nGeneral Support:\n- Assist with the preparation of financial reports as needed.\n- Provide support to team members and other departments as required.\n- Perform additional duties and assist with associate-level tasks as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in accounting or\nrelated field preferred.\n\nExperience:\n- Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is highly desirable.\n- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus.\n\nSkills:\n- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.\n- Excellent organizational and time management skills.\n- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.\n- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.\n- Strong communication skills, with the ability to ask questions and seek clarification when needed.\n\nPerformance Expectations\n- Team Collaboration: Demonstrates a cooperative and supportive attitude toward colleagues.\n- Accuracy: Consistently produces work free of errors and omissions.\n- Productivity: Completes tasks efficiently and meets or exceeds departmental goals.\n- Proactivity: Identifies potential issues and seeks guidance to resolve them promptly.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
