Salary starting at $28.85 per hour. Plus, a $500.00 - 90-day Hire-on Incentive
Position Summary:
The Accounting Clerk will post records to the General ledger, do data entry to month end spreadsheets and verify figures and documents to assure they are accurate, as well as perform audits of operations and revenue cost centers. The Accounting Clerk is also responsible for performing the account payable function of ascertaining that materials and services provided to the company are properly authorized for purchase and invoiced at the agreed upon volume and/or unit price. The Accounting Clerk will ensure that vendor issued statements are reconciled to invoices and accounts payable vendor files. The Accounting Clerk will also review invoices and coding to the appropriate general ledger accounts and ensure that the companies’ liabilities are accurately reflected in the financial statements. The Accounting Clerk will also assist the Accounting Services Associate Department with audits and other tasks as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records. Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements. Reconcile accounts in a timely manner. Daily data entry of financial transactions in database. Provides assistance and support to company personnel. Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies. Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas. Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws. Experience and Education:
High school diploma Associate’s degree or relevant certification is preferred.Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming License Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk Must be at least 21 years of age Prefer experience in Tribal Gaming environmentSupervisory Responsibilities:

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods. The employee occasionally is required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will be required to talk for extended periods and must be able to hear and understand. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to fifty (10) pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Due to the nature and scope of this position, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours and irregular shifts will be required.
