This position has the primary responsibility of performing day to day bookkeeping tasks for a variety of community associations.
\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities
\nDuties which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks:
\nDaily:
\n\nPost checks\nFill out Financial Update forms\nFill out Resale Package forms\nAnswer phone calls\nRespond to e-mails\nSettlements\nResales/New Sales\nForeclosure/Bankruptcies\nOwnership changes\nOrdering individual coupons\nTemporary/Coupon Books\nAddress changes\nProcess of NSF chargebacks and letters to homeowners\nAdjusts accounts based on late fees and misapplied payments\nBatch A/R and Miscellaneous Deposits\nReimbursable back to CMC\nAll copies, faxes, scans, hand processed checks, settlements, etc.\n\nWeekly:
\n\nLockbox (processing center at bank)\nException Checks -- date stamped date received at bank and distributed to appropriate bookkeeper\nCorrespondence -- date stamped date received at bank and distributed to appropriate bookkeeper\n\nMonthly:
\n\nVA Deferred over 45 days, apply to homeowners' accounts and CMC's reimbursable\nVA Deferred -- Resale Packages and Financial Updates\nFriendly Reminders\nDepending on Association's cutoff\nAdjust accounts for late fee waivers for new owners\nReview for accounts that are at Exhibit B status\nExhibit B - Certified Letter prior to accounts being overturned to Attorney\nMonthly Lead Sheets\nInformation that ties together all adjustments, charges, credits, etc. that occurred throughout the month\nReview for errors\n\n\nPay rate: $17 an hour
\n Requirements\nKnowledge and Skills
\n\nAnalytical skills to evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data in various forms and formats.\nPerform calculations and analysis used in basic accounting.\nKnowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level. Experience using Tops Software is a plus.\nKnowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.\nProfessional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).\nSelf-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.\nTime management and time critical prioritization skills.\n\nEducation and Experience
\n* High School Diploma or GED Required
* 1 -- 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
