Accounting Clerk
Description Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their finance team. The Accounting Clerk will play a critical role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions. Key Responsibilities + Perform data entry for accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including entering and coding invoices, posting transactions, and reconciling customer and vendor accounts. + Review and verify the accuracy of invoices and supporting documents to ensure compliance with company policies. + Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. + Prepare and process payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers. + Respond to inquiries related to financial transactions from internal teams and external vendors and customers. + Maintain organized and accurate records of financial documents for audit and compliance purposes. + Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and supporting documentation. + Support the preparation of financial reports and analyses as needed. + Identify and suggest improvements to streamline accounting processes and increase efficiency. Requirements + High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. + 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is preferred; experience in a tech company or fast-paced environment is a bonus. + Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms, as well as strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP). + Knowledge of basic accounting principles and a strong aptitude for numbers. + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizational skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. + Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer service mindset. + Tech-savvy and willing to adapt to new systems or processes quickly. Preferred Qualifications + Experience in a high-growth or startup environment. + Familiarity with technology industry accounting processes or billing systems.
