Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity in the automotive industry based in Charleston, South Carolina, for the role of an Accounting Clerk. In this role, you would be joining our team to handle various accounting and administrative tasks, including processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and resolving customer inquiries. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications • Maintain and update customer credit records • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Perform daily reconciliations and credit card reconciliations • Manage billing and cash collections • Handle ad hoc office tasks as required • Use accounting systems and principles to post payments • Work with both commercial and consumer collections • Use the Reynolds & Reynolds system for various tasks. Requirements • Proficient in making accounting entries and understanding accounting principles. • Ability to utilize various accounting systems effectively. • Experience with both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. • Skilled in performing bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliation. • Capable of carrying out daily reconciliation tasks accurately. • Knowledgeable in billing collection and cash collections processes. • Experience in commercial and consumer collections. • Familiarity with the automotive industry is preferred.
