Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is primarily within the industry of accounts receivable and payable, and will involve a variety of tasks related to customer service, data entry, and construction accounting. Responsibilities: • Efficiently process customer credit applications • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of customer credit • Resolve customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions • Handle accounts receivable and payable tasks • Process invoices and ensure their accuracy • Use Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets and typing quotes • Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks • Occasionally answer phone calls and assist with customer queries • Assist with payroll tasks when required • Maintain a clear communication channel within the team • Handle any account reconciliation tasks that may arise • Ensure all financial data entered is accurate and up-to-date. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as an Accounting Clerk • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation • Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in Billing and Data Entry tasks • Demonstrable skills in Invoice Processing • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory • Experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Pro software • Knowledge of Construction Accounting is a plus • Excellent Customer Service skills • Experience in managing Payroll is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
