Description We are in the search for a proficient Accounting Clerk to become a part of our team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is situated in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and will involve the processing of customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. Additionally, this role will require monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary. Responsibilities • Management of the expense reporting process, including training employees on report submission and the update of records in the ERP system. • Execution of checks for invoices and expense reports, ensuring they are mailed to vendors and employees on a weekly basis. • Initiation of wire transfers and ACH bi-weekly. • Filing of important documents such as invoices and expense reports. • Handling of Accounts Payable and Receivable tasks, checking AP aging, processing invoices, and updating details in the ERP system. • Maintenance of customer records and credit limits, notifying Inside Sales employees of credit report amounts. • Communication with employees, customers, and vendors regarding payments. • Sending shipments via carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and delivering certified documents and mail to each department/employee. • Preparation of 1099 for vendors at various locations and its affiliates. • Performance of other duties as assigned by management, with the understanding that job duties may change at any time with or without notice. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry • Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation • Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in Billing and Invoice Processing • Proven skills in Data Entry • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required • Familiarity with Oracle system • Experience with QuickBooks is a plus • Knowledge of SAP system is essential Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
