Accounting Clerk
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to join our cleint's team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections, maintaining financial records, and supporting overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing AP and AR functions, interacting with vendors and clients, and ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded for reporting purposes. Key Responsibilities: + Process, verify, and record customer payments and vendor invoices. + Generate and submit invoices to clients while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. + Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding invoicing and payment inquiries. + Ensure timely vendor payments by processing scheduled and on-demand payment batches. + Review invoices for accuracy, approvals, and payment terms compliance. + Maintain and update vendor and client records, including terms, contact details, and payment conditions. + Follow up on overdue accounts, draft collection correspondence, and assist with AR collections. + Generate reports and assist in reconciling accounts receivable and revenue accounts. + Support monthly billing processes and financial reporting requirements. + Perform general administrative tasks related to accounting functions. Requirements + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer service mindset. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software. + Ability to operate office equipment including computers, 10-key calculators, and copiers. + Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to anticipate work needs and prioritize tasks efficiently. + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred. + Minimum of two years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
