Accounting Clerk
Description We are in need of a diligent Accounting Clerk to join our non-profit organization based in Fort Worth, Texas. The Accounting Clerk will play a crucial role in our team, mainly focused on the extraction and proper formatting of data from our existing accounting software. This is a short term contract employment opportunity that would start immediately. Responsibilities: • Extract valuable data from our old accounting software, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. • Convert extracted data files to CSV format and subsequently into Excel, utilizing basic functions and speed functionality of Excel. • Manage large datasets, employing efficient methods for manipulation and formatting, as manual line by line processing is not feasible. • Save reports in PDF format, adhering strictly to our established naming conventions. • Perform account reconciliation tasks as needed to maintain accurate records. • Execute data entry tasks promptly and accurately, ensuring every piece of information is correctly recorded. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks, demonstrating proficiency and speed. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is mandatory as it forms a significant part of the role. • Candidates must possess data entry skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for maintaining and analyzing financial data. • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. • Prior experience in a similar role within the Non-Profit sector will be highly regarded. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this position. • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to communicate effectively with both the finance team and other staff members. • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential. • Knowledge of financial regulations and standards in the Non-Profit sector is desired. • The candidate should exhibit high levels of integrity and uphold the confidentiality of financial information. • Familiarity with accounting software will be considered an advantage. • The ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure is crucial. • A commitment to the values and mission of the non-profit sector is highly desirable.
