Accounting Clerk
Description We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. As an Accounting Clerk, you will handle various tasks including accounts payable and receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and data entry in QuickBooks. This role is in the homebuilding industry and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handle accounts payable and receivable efficiently • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy • Perform credit card reconciliations in a timely manner • Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks • Enter data accurately and promptly • Process invoices with precision • Maintain account reconciliation to ensure all financial data is accurate • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date • Respond to customer inquiries regarding their accounts Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring that all financial transactions are correctly recorded and balanced. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP), overseeing the processing, verification, and reconciliation of invoices. • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR), managing the billing and collection of payments from clients. • Competence in Billing tasks, accurately issuing invoices to customers. • Proficiency in Data Entry, ensuring accurate and timely input of financial information into the company's database. • Expertise in Invoice Processing, reviewing and verifying invoice details against purchase orders and contracts. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, utilizing its features for data manipulation, analysis, and presentation. • Experience with QuickBooks, using it to manage sales, customer payments, and payroll operations. • Skills in Credit Card Reconciliation, verifying and reconciling credit card statements with general ledger entries. • Experience in Bank Reconciliations, comparing and rectifying discrepancies between the company's bank statements and financial records.
