Job Description

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, a successful Accounting Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Accounting Team and various other departments within the organization.

ResponsibilitiesAP/AR data entry and assistance in collections processWork through Excel daily, including proficient use of hotkeys, data movement, pulling data from internal ERP systems, and performing VLOOKUPSAssist in the commercial collections processAssist the Accounting Coordinators with collection processes concerning Home Center CustomersOrganize and maintain all customer creditsFile management, including year-end file changeoverAssist in the maintenance of document records (photocopying, filing, etc.)Maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable records (electronic and paper)Assist with small projects when time permitsSet up, maintain, retrieve, and purge files as required by established records retention regulationsAssist with monthly cycle count observationsPerform other duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications RequiredHigh School diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years accounting experienceExcel experience: VLOOKUP, Formulas, hotkey, data manipulationExperience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to be trained on EDI and Microsoft Business Central (inventory management software)Ability to operate various types of office equipment such as calculator, fax machine, photocopier, telephone, and computerReliance on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
