Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Non-Profit sector for an Accounting Clerk at our location in Wilton Manors, Florida. This role is central to our operations and involves processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and perform necessary actions. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner • Maintain precise records of customer credit • Actively resolve customer inquiries and issues • Monitor customer accounts and take the necessary actions • Responsible for receiving and verifying all purchase order transmittal forms • Review and analyze purchase orders and invoices for payment accuracy • Enter invoice information into the agency's accounting system in adherence with GAAP policies and procedures • Generate and edit reports to ensure data accuracy • Generate accounts payable checks, void checks, and liquidate aged encumbrances • Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues and anticipate problems or delays • Track, review, and monitor the program's payables • Assist fiscal coordinators and accounts payable staff in researching vendor statements, invoices follow-up, and vendor payments • Act as a backup to the Finance Clerk when necessary. Requirements • Entry-level position, no prior experience required • Familiarity with account reconciliation procedures • Skills in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) • Experience in billing and data entry tasks • Proficiency in invoice processing • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel • Knowledge of Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software • Experience handling purchase orders • Ability to manage check runs, mail checks, and manual checks • Skills in preparing checks and reconciling vendor statements • Experience entering vendor invoices and managing vendor relationships • Demonstrated ability to handle vendor invoices and payments • Comfortable working with multiple vendors.
