Ed Morse is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team.
Responsibilities Process, record, and deposit all payments received by the dealership, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Ensure all funds are reconciled accurately and transactions are recorded correctly.Review and process invoices for automotive products and warranties, ensuring accuracy and obtaining necessary approvals for payment. Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions in accordance with company policies.Manage accounts receivable, ensuring accurate payment recording and prompt resolution of discrepancies. Maintain up-to-date and precise records of receivables.Process cancellations from lienholders, customers, and statements, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and properly handled. Issue refund checks to customers or lienholders as required.Update & maintain schedules for extended warranty and insurance accounts. Reconciling discrepancies as needed. Calculate and post finance chargebacks when required.Provide support for accounting functions, including month-end closing and other tasks as assigned. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and accounting standards in all financial records. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required.Automotive dealership experience is preferred.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment.Proficient in computer skills, including Excel and Word.Strong written, verbal, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels and communicate clearly.Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.Why Ed Morse?
