Accounting Clerk - Part-time
Job Description The Accounting Clerk is responsible for accurately maintaining detailed records of rent payments, including dates, amounts, and tenant information, using designated software or spreadsheets. This role involves generating reports on rent collection status, outstanding balances, and other relevant data for property management. Additional duties include collecting rents, creating deposits, performing weekly banking tasks, picking up mail from other offices, filing, and other accounting-related responsibilities. Part-time, 20 hours/week. **Employee benefits** + 403b + 403b matching **Education and Experience:** High school diploma or GED (required), Associate degree in accounting (preferred); Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of related computer applications. Familiar with basic bookkeeping procedures. Typing or keyboarding experience required. **Supervisory Responsibilities: None** **Required Skills/Abilities:** + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. + Excellent organizational and time management skills. + Good communication skills, both written and verbal. + Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. + **Valid driver’s license is required.** **Physical Requirements:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
