Job details Spherion Staffing is assisting a family-built sod company located in Arcadia, FL. The company is currently seeking a Bilingual Accounting & Payroll Specialist. This position is responsible for managing and processing the company's payroll, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees, and overseeing various accounting functions.
... Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls and take orders for sod; enter invoices and ensure payment is processed before sod is picked up.
Manage accounts receivable, including overseeing charge accounts to ensure they stay within the credit limit.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate scheduling.
Maintain and verify load sheet, cross-checking numbers from fields daily.
Process payroll using Business and QuickBooks Online.
Handle HR functions, including employee onboarding.
Process payments efficiently and accurately.
Communicate with employees, including those who do not speak English, to address needs and concerns.
Manage Worker?s Compensation processes.
Oversee the company?s Verizon account.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in QuickBooks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Google Sheets.
Accounting software experience is a plus!

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Candidates MUST have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Accounting or related role.
Candidates MUST be able to fluently speak both English and Spanish (written and oral).
Ability to pass a national background & drug screening.
