Accounting Coordinator
Grants Accounting Coordinator | Hybrid in Washington, DC | 3-month contract

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data entry, accounting, and administrative tasks, with proficiency in Sage Intacct and Excel. This role offers the opportunity for contract-to-permanent placement with growth potential within the accounting department.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare, compile, enter, and sort documents for data entry in Sage IntacctCheck source documents for accuracyVerify and correct data where necessaryObtain further information for incomplete documentsUpdate data and filesCombine and rearrange data from source documents when requiredEssential SkillsProven data entry work experience as a Data Entry Operator or Office ClerkExperience with Sage Intacct budget entryProficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (advanced functions and pivot tables)Attention to detail working with large spreadsheets without supervisionAbility to multi-taskFamiliarity with administrative dutiesTyping speed and accuracyExcellent knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuationOrganizational skills with the ability to stay focused on assigned tasksConfidentialityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diplomaAdditional certification or degree in Accounting/FinanceExperience in grant management is preferableWork Environment

This role reports to the Director of Grants and Contracts and the Controller. You will be part of a collaborative finance team. The position requires one day onsite at the office, typically on Wednesday or Thursday. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
