ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR - PROGRAM

Hourly Pay Range: $23-$24

This position will be responsible for training on and performing a variety of senior level accounting duties. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares and audits schedules for program billing, working with other AR management to maintain records for month end process and audits. Maintains a running checklist and e-mails for program billing. Sending to AR Assistant Director to review to see that all billing is accounted for. Create check requests – for housing subsidy payments outside eVero as needed for special circumstances. Back up for self-directed check requests for special situations outside eVero as needed.    Receive/Review Housing applications and submit to OPWDD for review approval Request back up needed (From Care Coordination, person served or other contact as provided) to complete housing budgets for: Initial, Revision and Renewals. Process Housing payments out of eVero each month and submit payments to A/P for processing Creates/Prepares monthly billings for Housing programs and submits to OPWDD for approval/processing. Reviews Transition Stipend applications if applicable submit to OPWDD for review/approval Follows steps per policy to complete steps for approved Transition Stipends. Following up on requests from NYS Housing team for necessary back up, information needed as being the FI of the Housing Program. Following the current Housing ADM responsibilities to ensure those we are serving all responsibilities are followed to ensure program guidelines are met. Assists AR management with audit schedules and report preparation. Maintain and update outstanding revenue files for billing issues and denials. Develops process and procedures and shares responsibilities for accounting functions relating to Billing and program. Cross-train on entire workflow of for backup purposes and future needs. Assists in the annual or any other audit and provides any needed information. Responsible for insuring that all confidentiality and potentially sensitive information is processed and utilized according to procedures in a strict confidential manner. All other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BS degree in accounting and one years related experience. Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office for Windows. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability simultaneously handle multiple tasks. Ability to interact with all levels of personnel. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities at this time but will be trained as a backup for future needs.
