Accounting Data Analyst

Position Overview

The Accounting Data Analyst will support innovation and technology goals within the tax department. This position will collaborate across the business discover and achieve results. Strong analytical skills and proven track record of innovating are instrumental for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate on projects within the Tax Department in Sales Tax, Income Tax and other areas as needed

Participation in enterprise-wide level initiatives

Manage and correct system inefficiencies by using data analysis, collaborating with system users, and building solutions to resolve or improve performance

Actively seek opportunities to understand, provide feedback and influence innovation to impact source data

Continually identify and develop recommendations for improvements and solutions to data sources and processes with a focus on continuous innovation.

Assist with multiple complex projects and processes simultaneously, while executing on simplicity and consistency.

Assist in data requests internal inquiries and external auditors while being able to provide transaction detail for any tax adjustments made.

Automate repetitive tasks by collaborating with stakeholders and leveraging resources

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting or Finance.

Must possess advanced problem-solving analytical skills and the ability to analyze and document problems and requirements that are understandable across all levels of the organization.

Applies a systematic, fact-based approach to understanding problems and taking responsible actions to resolve them.

Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx

Ability to research tax laws and apply to the given situation
