Accounting & Finance Analyst

Summary of Job:

Consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Lee Company, the Accounting & Finance Analyst plays a key role in supporting financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes along with general accounting support within Lee Company. Reporting to the Finance Reporting & Analysis Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Prophix Financial Planning/Forecasting system, assisting with month-end close processes, and supporting financial operations. The Accounting & Finance Analyst will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis while providing user support, training, and insights to internal stakeholders. The position requires strong analytical skills, independent judgment, and a proactive approach to improving financial processes and system capabilities. Work requires exercising independent judgment in determining recommended courses of action and in the development and presentation of materials, independent application of generally accepted governmental accounting principles and review of financial transactions for compliance with best business practices, laws, regulations, contracts, policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum 3 years' experience applicable to the duties described aboveConstruction industry experience a plusExperience with Corporate Performance Management financial software preferred, specifically ProphixExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CDS and F&O Platforms) and Microsoft PowerBI

Skills and Abilities:

General understanding of US GAAPKnowledge of highly complex and advanced financial reporting practicesSkill in exercising considerable initiative, fostering collaboration and teamwork, and demonstrating creativity and innovation leading to improved work processesAbility to organize, communicate and present information effectively in a clear, concise manner both orally and in writingAbility to prepare account analyses and reconciliations, determine courses of action to resolve finance and accounting problems and make appropriate adjusting entries.Eager, quick learner and self-starter/motivated with strong attention to detail, a desire for accuracy, and a strong sense of urgency
