+ **Pay Range: $25 - $29/hour (W2).**
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all invoices are received timely and processed accurately. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Invoice Management:**
+ Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
+ Ensure timely processing of invoices to meet payment deadlines.
+ Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
+ Enter and code invoices accurately in the accounting system.
+ Prepare and process electronic transfers, payments, and check runs.
**Customer Service:**
+ Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders by addressing accounts payable inquiries promptly and professionally.
+ Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
+ Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial transactions.
**Reconciliation & Reporting:**
+ Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure proper documentation.
+ Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
+ Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
+ Generate reports related to accounts payable and financial transactions as needed.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
+ 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance-related role.
+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
+ Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve invoice discrepancies effectively.
+ Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience in a corporate finance or accounting department.
+ Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
+ Experience with automated AP systems and workflow tools.
