Accounting/HR Clerk
Accounting/HR Clerk (6 month contract-to-hire) Job Description This role primarily focuses on accounts receivable (AR) tasks, with HR responsibilities on the side. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have a passion for organization and process efficiency, as well as communication with an international team. Responsibilities + Create customer invoices and process customer payments, ensuring timely recording of all incoming receipts. + Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding payments or other AR-related issues. + Receive payments from customers and manage collections for 5-10 invoices per day. + Work with suppliers and resolve customer billing or payment issues in coordination with internal teams. + Assist with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. + Coordinate with external accountants and international finance teams as needed. + Maintain organized electronic records for financial documentation and year-end reporting. + Support annual insurance audits and client diversity reporting. + Assist with cross-checking warehouse inventory accuracy with system records. + Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS systems in compliance with legal requirements. + Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, benefits enrollment, and internal system updates. + Assist in recruitment by posting jobs, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews. + Track and support performance evaluation cycles, including collecting forms and following up on completion. + Assist with maintaining employee time clock records and payroll coordination. + Communicate with staffing agencies and help manage temporary employee reporting. + Stay informed on employment law updates and help keep HR policies and handbooks current. + Organize training records and professional development planning in collaboration with team leaders. + Be flexible and willing to jump in where needed, such as greeting customers, getting mail, etc. Must Have Qualifications + Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. + ERP and accounting software experience. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (pivot tables and formulas). + Human resources knowledge, including experience with HRIS systems. "Nice to have" Skills & Qualifications + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Work Environment The position is based in a logistics and production warehouse environment with an attached office. There are 15 employees onsite at this location. The consultant will have a wide variety of responsibilities, providing diversity in their day-to-day tasks. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
