Accounting Intern, Internal Audit (Fall Internship 2024)

Locations: Union, NJ, New York City, NY | Hybrid

Get To Know The Team:

SS&C is seeking a motivated Accounting Intern who is ready to apply knowledge of business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment. The intern will assist in report writing, conducting research, and analyzing data. This will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in accounting or a related field. This internship will report to the Corporate Finance Department and will provide administrative and project assistance to the audit team.

What You Will Get To Do:

Assist on SOX404 projects: updating process descriptions & process walkthroughs & performing transactional testing. Assist on audit related projects during audit planning and fieldwork phases of the audit Learning Internal Audit-based procedures and assisting Audit Managers with compiling/completing testing documentation and corrective action plan tracking

What You Will Bring:

A graduate or undergraduate student currently enrolled in school with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or Management Information Systems.Capability of working on multiple projects and a solid written and verbal communication.Sound judgment, integrity, decision making skills and a strong sense of personal ethics.Working knowledge of both capital market products and accounting for financial products is a plusPrior experience in financial services, accounting or auditing is preferred.

Compensation is $20/hour.
